This weekend my boyfriend and I went to the annual Goose Fair in Nottingham. It was so lovely to walk around and be taken back to childhood memories at the fair, and just enjoy a special evening together. Hey!

How long is 6 months? To some people it might be the shortest amount of time, but to me it's been a lifetime. 

Hi! 

So I'm sat in the airport waiting to get on the plane (1.5 hour delay... Kill me.) & I've been thinking about all the things I've achieved this holiday that I never thought I would do! They're all pretty much day-to-day things a "normal" person wouldn't find difficult, but for someone with slight social anxiety & confidence issues these are things I've struggled with my whole life.

Usually on holiday I would HATE to show any part of my body due to being overweight, but this time I wore shorts every day (which was actually amazing as it was SO HOT!). I also went on the beach in my bikini, something I never, ever thought would happen. John and I swam in the sea and it was the loveliest thing to experience together, for once I didn't care who was looking at me and my wobbly bits. I wore dresses, had my arms on show and didn't even care. Things like this are so hard for me to do usually and I'm so proud of myself that I was able to have the courage to do them and I wanted to share that with all of you :)

Hey!

Long time no... blog? Sorry about that. Life feels like it's been slipping through my fingers, and my love for makeup and beauty goes on but my motivation and inspiration to write has been lacking so much lately.

I want for this to be my own little corner of the internet where I can come and share not just what I'm deciding to wear on my face or put in my hair. I want to blog and share parts of my life that I want to remember, and maybe some parts that I'd rather forget. So from today I want to share with you all more of my lifestyle, insane adventures and general ups and downs... I haven't quite decided on a blog name change yet so bear with me on that one!

Where do I start? 2016 has been a crazy one so far. I met the man of my dreams and after a whirlwind couple of months we've ended up living together and I couldn't be happier about it. He makes me feel things I never thought I would and he's so kind, generous and an all round amazing guy! He makes me feel so excited for the future and makes me want a life I never thought I would. I feel so grown up and mature being with him, even though we act silly and laugh more and more every day. We've both been through a lot the past year and being with him makes me feel stronger and like I can take on the entire world.

Other parts of my life aren't so great. Family issues, job issues, confidence issues... the list is endless. I'm hoping that by giving myself this platform to express how I feel I can start untangling the mess that seems to be forming in my head.

I don't want this post to be long and rambly and sad, I'm happy with huge parts of my life and I'm looking forward to the future. I'm going to try and update this every day, or every other day and just try and focus on the positive things that happen every day which I always take for granted!
